Statement from Dr. Tia Dole, Chief 988 Lifeline Officer at Vibrant Emotional Health about Tragic Loss of Professional Golfer Grayson Murray

A Statement from Dr. Tia Dole, Chief 988 Lifeline Officer at Vibrant Emotional Health:

“We are heartbroken by the loss of Grayson Murray. Our hearts go out to his parents, Eric and Terry Murray, as this is such a trying time in their lives.

It is evident that he was not only a talented golfer, who touched the lives of many through his passion for the sport, but a strong and loving person. The demands and pressures faced by professional athletes are immense, and can often take a toll on their mental health. Grayson’s passing is a tragic reminder of the importance of addressing these challenges and providing support to those who need it.

The outpouring of love and support from the golfing community and his loved ones is remarkable. We urge everyone to remember that mental health struggles are real, and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, as help is available 24/7.”
