• Parents and caregivers are supported to be the best advocate for their child with mental health needs through our Family Resource Centers.
• Survivors of wildfires, hurricanes or other disasters can receive emotional support through the Disaster Distress Helpline or connect with a local mental health volunteer to receive coping tools and access to local resources through our National Crisis Emotional Care Team.
• Individuals experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts find hope through the round-the-clock crisis hotlines we operate including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and NYC Well.

Annual Giving

In Honor, Memorial, or Tribute Gifts

• You can make an in honor, memorial, or tribute gift online. We will send a notification (excluding the dollar amount of your gift) to the person of your choosing and send you an acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.

Gifts of Stock

Transferring stocks or other securities allow you to receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the securities while not paying any capital gains tax on the amount you contribute.

To make a stock gift, direct your broker in writing to make a transfer of stock directly into Vibrant’s account. The letter you send to your broker should include the following information:

• The name of the stock and number of shares you want to transfer to Vibrant
• The account number from which you are transferring the stock
• The official name of Vibrant’s account: Mental Health Association of NYC DBA Vibrant Emotional Health
• Vibrant’s brokerage account number at our broker, Charles Schwab: 6231-5573
• Our broker’s Depository Trust Company (DTC) number: 0164

There are several ways to fundraise for Vibrant on Facebook:

• Host a Facebook Fundraiser by visiting Fundraisers, then search for “Vibrant Emotional Health” in the “Raise Money” section or click here.
• Add a Donate button to a Facebook post by selecting “Raise Money” in the “Add to your post” section of the status update window and then searching for “Vibrant Emotional Health.”
• Donate directly from Vibrant’s Facebook page by selecting the blue “Donate” button.

Many employers sponsor programs to match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your company will match your charitable gifts to Vibrant.

• From providing direct support of Vibrant’s programs and services to creating workplace wellness programs or other employer-based emotional well-being programs, our corporate partnership opportunities are customized to help you meet your organizational priorities. You can leave a lasting legacy by adding Vibrant to your will or living trust with just a few sentences.

• To leave a specific dollar amount, you can use this language:
  I give, devise, and bequeath $XX [numeric dollar amount] ($XX [dollar amount spelled out]) to Mental Health Association of New York, DBA Vibrant Emotional Health, EIN 13-2637308, currently doing business at 50 Broadway, New York, NY 10004, or its successor-in-interest, to be used for general operating support.
• To leave a percentage of your estate, you might use this language:

• Note: A specific dollar amount comes “off the top” of an estate, or before any deductions are made. A percentage donation is made from what’s left after your other gifts are accounted for.

Contribute your required IRA distribution

• At age 70½, you must begin taking money from your IRA, and every distribution includes some taxable income. You can avoid the taxes due by contributing all or a portion of your required donation to Vibrant. As long as you are 70½ on the date of distribution, simply:
  • Decide on the amount—make sure it is at least the amount you’re required to withdraw.
  • Fill out a distribution form with your IRA custodian requesting that the check be made payable directly to Vibrant Emotional Health.

Designate Vibrant on AmazonSmile
