Our aim is to reduce the isolation and stress that youth and families undergo when a young person is experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties, opening the doorway for personal empowerment. Through one-to-one support, as well as our evidence-based parenting classes and workshops, families and youth can find the resources and skills that allow them to feel capable and confident in responding to the unique challenges that life can present.
Vibrant’s Family & Youth Peer Support Services are staffed by family and youth advocates who have shared similar life experiences to those we serve – including finding success in navigating the complexities of the child-serving system. In addition to specialized support tailored to individual needs, our youth advocates maintain a strong focus upon building other young people’s leadership skills and assisting youth to make a successful transition to adulthood.
Who Is It For
Any parent or caregiver of a child under 18 with emotional or behavioral health issues in New York City, as well as youth up to age 24 who could benefit from additional emotional or behavioral support. All services are free of charge and offered in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
